EOI Submissions
Expressions of Interest are now closed. The Program Chairs are sending out emails this week (25th April) to confirm accepted submissions and sessions.
Conference registration will open June 1st.
Submission Formats
-
All submissions must engage with the conference theme.
All submissions will be reviewed to ensure their appropriateness for the conference. Academic papers are expected to demonstrate engagement with prior academic literature; for non-academic papers this is not required.
Do not be restricted by the categories below. If you have an idea for a contribution (immersive experience, guided site visit, artwork etc.) that does not fit, get in touch via email or the EOI submission form.

Presentations
Presentations (or ‘papers’) consist of a 15-minute talk on a topic related to the conference theme. The paper may be based on academic research, drawn from professional experience, or showcase an artistic work.
-
Roundtables
The roundtable format is designed to encourage discussion and debate between speakers, and between speakers and the audience.
We recommend 4-6 speakers per roundtable. The conference aims to amplify the voices of people from various backgrounds. We thus encourage roundtable organisers to include, where possible, a diverse range of speakers.
Roundtables that discuss experiences along the ‘timeline’ of deathcare (from end-of-life to grief) and across disciplinary/professional backgrounds are strongly encouraged.

Posters
Posters use visual media and text to present ideas in a condensed and engaging format. Posters can report on various topics, including a research project, a public program or community initiative, or new technology.
Posters will be displayed throughout the conference in the registration area. All posters will also be displayed in an online repository on the conference website.
A Q&A session will be held for poster presenters who are present in Melbourne.
